A two-day event for music/theater and technology experts to gather, brainstorm, and discover new methods for live performance.

San Diego Opera is seeking between 40-50 participants for OPERA HACK: a two-day cross-collaborative event (July 27 & 28, 2019 at Microsoft Corporation in La Jolla, CA) to discover new methods for the production and presentation of live performance.

Selected participants will form interdisciplinary teams to identify specific constraints within live theater and explore various technological mediums to offer solutions.

Our Call for Participants is now open until April 5th, 2019 (see How to Enter).

OPERA HACK will culminate with teams proposing their best ideas for further expansion. Immediately following the event, San Diego Opera will select 4 to 7 teams to develop and present their respective concepts at a public event in Summer 2020.
